Feeding Therapy

Is your child constantly refusing meals? Are you worried about your child’s picky eating habits? Is meal time more like a battle ground?

For children with sensory issues, picky eating can be a common problem - but it doesn’t have to be. Feeding Therapy is designed to help your child develop positive relationships with food, by teaching them the skills needed to accept different kinds of foods and understand their hunger cues. This therapy offers a safer, more effective solution than traditional methods such as bribing or forcing kids to eat certain kinds of food.

In addition to gaining helpful knowledge about nutrition and safe meal habits, you'll also equip your child with strategies they need in order to become more open-minded when it comes to trying new things – both on their plates and off! With the Better Learning Therapies feeding team’s combined expertise in evidence based feeding therapy programs, you can help your kid overcome any food anxieties that were hindering them from having an enjoyable mealtime experience.

Sign up for our feeding therapy today so that you can start making strides towards changing your family's mealtimes!

Occupational Therapy

Are you looking for ways to help your child grow and develop? Need help with daily self-care activities like dressing and toileting? Want some help with navigating social interactions?

Occupational therapy is one way to help children reach their highest potential. Research has shown that occupational therapy is an effective treatment for the physical, social and psychological challenges related to many conditions like Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD and so much more. Our experienced therapists provide comprehensive assessments, individualized therapies and evidence based treatment models. This kind of therapy helps build skills like self-care and communication that can be essential in helping individuals live successful lives.

With occupational therapy your child will gain strength, balance, coordination and fine motor skills while also learning how best to interact socially within their environment. This combination of physical activity, play based activities and instruction can give them control over their anxiety symptoms as well as a better understanding of the world around them.
